Total Piling & Excavations grew out of three decades of foundation and construction work across Victoria. Twenty of those years have been dedicated to screw piling - long enough to have worked in virtually every soil profile, site condition, and project type the state, and much of Australia, has to offer. From suburban backyards in Melbourne and waterfront homes on Port Phillip to large commercial developments, modular projects, and remote rural builds along the Murray.
Rob brings more than 35 years of construction and foundation experience, with 20 years specialising in screw piling across residential, commercial, civil, and government projects. Tom's trade background and hands-on experience in the industry provide practical insight into every project, from planning and quoting through to installation and completion. Together, they work across every aspect of the business. When you contact Total Piling & Excavations, you're dealing directly with the people responsible for your project. Every screw pile we install is completed to the same AS2159 engineering standard, whether it's a single residential extension or a large-scale development. Every project is backed by professional engineering, comprehensive documentation, and full certification on completion.

Our fleet
The right machine for every site
Modern, regularly serviced machinery from 1.7 tonne mini-excavators through to 8 tonne heavy capacity. Sized to the job.
3T to 5T mid-range
The everyday workhorse fleet. Residential pads, extensions, pool surrounds, small commercial sites - the range that covers most of the work we do.
5T to 8T heavy
Larger commercial pads, multi-house developments, and civil pads. Heavier drive motors, larger pile sizes, programmed grids.
Drive motors & tools
Excavator-mounted drive motors sized across the full standard pile range (76 to 114mm) with custom adapters for larger sizes when projects call for it.
Stocked pile inventory
Large on-hand inventory of 100% Australian-made screw piles by A.A. Steel Works. No waiting on supply for stocked sizes - dispatched direct from our own inventory.
Maintained on schedule
Every machine on a service schedule, every operator ticketed and certified. Reliable kit on site is the difference between a one-day job and a return visit.
